Motorcycle Maintenance

Venus and Zeus

Recently I decided to get out there and work on something! Last year when I changed the oil on my Suzuki, it was a real hassle! I had to purchase three wrenches designed to fit the smaller filter that the motorcycle has. I bought the filter at Suzuki. I should have purchased their filter wrench as well. Anyway it took about an hour before I was finished.
This year I went in another direction. I purchased a K&N oil filter that has a built in bolt. This bolt accepts a 17mm wrench, so it's about a five minute deal to change the oil. I also bought a K&N air filter. This air filter is really heavy duty and is guaranteed for a million miles and doesn't void any vehicle's warranty. http://www.knfilters.com/
Recently, my motorcycle seat developed a hole in it around the rear bracket. It wasn't made right. I took the seat to the upholster who recovered my dining room chairs (Citrano Upholstery in Arlington Heights, Illinois). He directed me to purchase marine vinyl material at Joanne Fabrics. I dropped the seat and the material off at his shop. He finished the job in three days. Beautiful!-this guy is a real craftsman!
